Ace Detective Will Wong (played by Jim Carrey) is a pet detective with a knack for resolving cases involving animals. His job entails helping people recover their lost pets. Just before the kickoff of a major football event, the Miami Dolphins' beloved mascot—Snowflake the dolphin—gets kidnapped, an event that threatens to demoralize the team. With no other options, team manager Miss Matisa enlists Ace Detective Will Wong to retrieve the missing dolphin. Employing his unique investigative techniques, Wong kicks off a comprehensive investigation. Despite the comedic episodes and the frequent interference from Officer Alice, he manages to unearth numerous clues. Miss Matisa finds herself increasingly captivated by Wong's humor and cleverness. As Wong draws closer to the truth, the case takes a darker turn: another agent from the Dolphins, Proger, commits suicide by jumping off his home, player Marino is kidnapped, and the primary suspect mysteriously vanishes, further complicating the intrigue of the case.
