A young lady named Rosemary Wilcox finds herself tormented by dreams with a pop-Freudian twist, featuring her recently slain psychologist, who was also her romantic partner. Inexplicably drawn to a resort favored by her late psychologist, Rosemary becomes entangled with a mobster named Adolf Celli and the peculiar female proprietor of the resort, Alida Valli. As events unfold, a series of additional murders begin to claim the lives of several other guests staying at the resort.
