Student Jane is employed as an assistant to the animal researcher Phillip, residing in an isolated, aged house. Their companions consist solely of the chimpanzees and a butler named Link, a remarkably intelligent 45-year-old orangutan. Phillip harbors intentions to end Link's life, yet before he can execute this plan, he mysteriously disappears one morning without a trace. Subsequently, Link's behavior turns increasingly aggressive, preventing Jane from accessing the phone or traveling to the nearby village. In response, Jane attempts to discipline him by locking him outside, triggering Link's violent tendencies.
